NEWS FROM THE SUMMIT Conference Update The 2007 Supernatural Summit Ghost Hunting Conference and Psychic Fair is promising to be one of the key events of this year for ghost hunters enthusiasts. This year's location has been moved from Rochester NY to Batavia NY. According to organizers the move was required to accommodate the expected larger crowds and additional programs for this year. The event is scheduled for April 13th-15th, 2007. Two days of workshops are scheduled along with a special Friday night mixer with psychic fair and trade show during the entire weekend. Registration is just $125.00 per person. This discount ends soon! Groups of 5 or more receive a special 15% discount and can receive a booth at 50% off normal vendor pricing. In addition, he will discuss the most commonly misused pieces of equipment and what many ghost hunters do wrong on an investigation. Class Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM Location: Diamond Room Class Name: Infrared Basics and Fundamentals Class Instructor: Jeremy Hawthorne Class Length: approx. 1 hour Class Synopsis: The class will consist of a discussion of what Infrared is, what wave lengths are, what light is and what light is made up of, as well as other basic terms and fundamental terms. Also, what the Electromagnetic Spectrum is as a whole. What the Electromagnetic Spectrum is made up of and how it applies to paranormal research. We will also discuss the different types of Infrared and how it is measured. Handouts will be provided with definitions and terms to help students through the material covered. From the amateur ghost hunter to the professional paranormal investigator, more people are looking to prove the continuance of life after death through the lens of a camera. Spirit photography is considered to be a form of mediumship or spirit communication in which the ghost or entity makes contact with the physical world by leaving an image on a photographic plate or digital image. Though this may be a fun hobby to some, or part of a trade to others, it is always important to understand your equipment and its proper use. This is the best way to be sure to gather clear documentation and avoid false positives. Class Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Location: Diamond Room Class Name: Introduction to EVP Class Instructor: Dwayne Claud Class Length: 1 hour Class Synopsis: This workshop dives into the recording of electronic voice phenomenon for the beginning to intermediate paranormal investigators. Learn what equipment can be utilized for the best recordings, learn some basic tricks and techniques for recording, some basic evaluation criteria and even how to make them sound clearer. This workshop lies a strong foundation for EVP Research. One of the oldest forms of spirit communication was first developed by the Fox Sisters in Hydesville NY. Join Spiritualist Reverend Tim Shaw as he teaches this very simply technique to investigators. Currently booth spaces are full for psychics but room still remains for paranormal groups and metaphysical vendors who wish to participate in this event. Booth space is $100 for the weekend! Last year we had between 300 and 500 people attend through the weekend. This year more is expected. Also on-site will be Western New York Paranormal along with nearly 15 other paranormal investigative teams providing their knowledge and experience to the public. Bring your photographs, evp's and stories. We'd love to hear them.
